About the Works in the Exhibition (Artist Statement)

I have been depicting memories around me using Western painting techniques. While my contemporaries have also produced work based on experience living in the same era, it is natural and essential to feel the changing of the seasons as an artist creating art in Japan. Although the work had largely derived from my personal memory, I hope that you will enjoy my portrayal of the month of the year.
