日用品や、見過ごしてしまう日常の風景を描いています。
それは、過去の出来事を受け取り、もう一度見つめ直す作業です。それらを情感を持って見つめることで、日常を取りこぼさずにいられる様に思うです。
誰かの残した物が、私自身の記憶の断片とつながる事で、確かにそこに存在している生の営みを語ることができます。
自己と他者の間にささやかなやりとりが生まれ、もう一度、自身の足元を捉えなおしてみたいと思うのです。
Artist Statement
I draw motifs of everyday items and scenes that people overlook in everyday life.
It is the work of receiving past events and looking at them again.
By looking with emotion and giving value to everyday items, landscapes, happenings, I’m able to be present in life.
I can tell a story through my paintings by connecting the things left behind by others with the fragments of my own memories.
Before you know it, your story can become someone else's story, and vice versa.
Then a small exchange between yourself and others is born and I would like to capture it again.
